Fish
- 🐟 280g mackerel fillet
Coating
- 3 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp salt koji
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
LANGKAH
Remove the central bones from the mackerel fillet and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Mix the seasoning ingredients (salt koji, garlic, ginger) in a bowl, then add the mackerel pieces and coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate for 15 minutes. Pat dry with kitchen paper.
Coat the mackerel pieces with potato starch evenly.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C (1cm depth). Fry the mackerel pieces for 3-4 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden brown.
