BAHAN-BAHAN
Main Ingredients
- ๐ 200g clams (purged)
- ๐ฅ 240g daikon radish (8cm)
Daikon Pre-boil
- ๐ 1 tbsp rice
Seasonings
- ๐ถ 1 tbsp sake
- ๐ถ 1 tbsp mirin
- ๐ง 1/2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- ๐ง 150ml water
LANGKAH
Cut the daikon radish into 2cm thick slices, peel the skin, and trim the edges. Make shallow cross cuts on one side.
In a pot, add daikon, rice, and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes until a skewer passes through easily. Rinse and drain.
Place daikon, seasonings (โ), and water in a pot. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Add clams, cover, and cook over medium heat for 3โ5 minutes until the clam shells open.
