BAHAN-BAHAN
Main Ingredients
- 🥡 500g tofu
- 340g spam
- 🧅 1 onion
- 1/2 stalk green onion
- 💧 350ml water
- A sprinkle of sesame seeds
Seasoning Sauce
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 💧 50ml water
LANGKAH
Slice the onion into thick strips and cut the green onion diagonally. Optionally, slice a chili for extra spice.
Cut the tofu into thick rectangular slices to avoid breaking during cooking.
Slice the spam into pieces similar in size to the tofu.
Mix all seasoning sauce ingredients in a bowl, including chili powder, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, gochujang, garlic, and water.
Layer the sliced onion at the bottom of a wide, deep pan.
Arrange the tofu and spam slices alternately on top of the onion layer.
Place the green onion in the center of the pan. If using chili, add it alongside the green onion.
Pour the prepared seasoning sauce evenly over the tofu and spam.
Add 350ml of water to the pan and turn the heat to high.
Once boiling, cook on high heat for 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 7 minutes, occasionally spooning the sauce over the ingredients.
Remove any impurities floating on the surface and continue simmering until the sauce thickens slightly.
Turn off the heat when the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
