INGREDIENTI
Batter
- 150g all-purpose flour
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 100cc water
Vegetables
- 4 leaves (320g) napa cabbage, shredded
- 15g pickled ginger
Meat
- 100g sliced pork belly
Cooking Oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Toppings
- Okonomiyaki sauce, as needed
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Aonori (seaweed flakes), as needed
- Bonito flakes, as needed
PASSI
Shred the napa cabbage into thin slices.
Cut the pork belly slices in half.
In a bowl, mix eggs, flour, dashi powder, and water until smooth. Add shredded cabbage and pickled ginger, then mix thoroughly to form the batter.
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Pour half of the batter into the pan, spreading it into a round shape about 1.5cm thick. Place half of the pork belly slices on top and cook until golden brown.
Flip the pancake, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes until the pork and batter are fully cooked. Repeat for the second pancake.
Serve on a plate and add toppings: okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori, and bonito flakes.
