INGREDIENTI
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- 🧅 1 stalk white part of green onion
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- Enough salad oil for frying
Nanban Marinade
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Pinch of sliced chili
- 💧 100cc water
PASSI
Cut the green onion into 4cm pieces after removing the root.
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper, and coat with potato starch.
Mix all the Nanban marinade ingredients in a tray.
Heat a pan over medium heat, add the green onion, and grill until browned. Add 1 tbsp of water, cover, and steam on low heat for 2–3 minutes. Remove and clean the pan.
Heat salad oil to 180°C in the pan, fry the chicken for 2 minutes without moving, flip, and fry for another 2–3 minutes. Continue flipping until golden and cooked through, then remove.
While hot, soak the green onion and chicken in the Nanban marinade for 5 minutes.
