INGREDIENTI
Main
- 🥚 5 medium eggs
- 10 slices thinly sliced pork loin
- Potato starch, as needed
- 1 tbsp salad oil
- 1 tbsp sake
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
PASSI
Boil the eggs in plenty of boiling water for 6–6.5 minutes, then transfer them to ice water to cool completely before peeling.
Lay out one slice of pork, place a boiled egg on top, and wrap it. Lay out another slice of pork and wrap it around the entire egg.
Coat the entire surface of the pork with potato starch. Heat salad oil in a frying pan and place the wrapped pork seam-side down. Cook over medium heat.
Once one side is browned, flip it over, add sake, cover with a lid, and steam over low heat for 3–5 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
Remove the lid, let the liquid evaporate, then add sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce. Stir well to coat the pork evenly.
