INGREDIENTI
Potato
- 🥔 3 medium potatoes (450g)
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- 🧀 50g pizza cheese
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
Mentaiko Mayonnaise
- 1 mentaiko (50g)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
PASSI
Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and soak them in water for 5 minutes. Drain the water.
Place the potatoes in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 8 minutes. Mash until smooth.
Add potato starch and salt to the mashed potatoes, mix well, and let cool slightly.
Cut the mentaiko open and extract the contents.
Mix the mentaiko and mayonnaise in a bowl to make mentaiko mayonnaise.
Take a portion of the potato mixture (about the size of a 500 yen coin), flatten it, and place mentaiko mayonnaise on top.
Add pizza cheese on top of the mentaiko mayonnaise and wrap the potato mixture around it to form a ball.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the potato balls until golden brown on all sides.
