INGREDIENTI
Main
- 🍚 150g of cooked rice
- 🍗 120g chicken thigh (for karaage)
- 50g snap peas
- 🥕 20g carrot
- 🍋 1 wedge of lemon
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- Enough salad oil for frying
Seasoning for Chicken
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- A pinch of pepper
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Seasoning for Namul
- 1/2 tsp ponzu soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp ground sesame seeds
PASSI
Remove the strings from snap peas and cut them diagonally. Slice the carrot thinly and cut into 1cm-wide pieces.
Place chicken, seasoning ingredients, and squeezed lemon (including peel) into a plastic bag. Massage and let marinate for 10 minutes. Remove lemon and coat chicken with potato starch.
Place snap peas, carrot, and 1 tbsp water into a microwave-safe container. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 1.5 minutes. Drain and mix with namul seasoning.
Heat salad oil in a small frying pan to 180°C. Fry chicken pieces for 3–5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until cooked through. Let cool slightly.
Pack rice into a bento box, followed by salt lemon karaage and namul.
