INGREDIENTI
Chicken
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
Vegetables
- 1/2 bunch seri (Japanese parsley)
- 🥕 1/2 carrot, julienned
Dairy
- 🧀 2 stick cheeses
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
PASSI
Trim the roots off the seri and cut into thirds.
Julienne the carrot and microwave in a heatproof container for 1 minute at 600W.
Remove excess fat and skin from the chicken thigh. Make cuts in thick areas to even out the thickness, pierce with a fork, and season with salt and pepper.
Place seri, carrot, and stick cheese on the chicken. Roll tightly from one end and secure with two toothpicks.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken roll and cook, turning to brown all sides.
Add 3 tbsp of water (not listed in ingredients) to the pan, cover, and steam-cook for about 7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Add the sauce ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) and cook over medium heat until thickened, coating the chicken roll.
