INGREDIENTI
Main Ingredients
- 1 piece (200g) fried tofu
- 4 pieces (300g) taro
- Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasonings
- 150cc water
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mentsuyu (3x concentrated)
PASSI
Peel the taro and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place in a bowl, add 1 tsp salt (not listed in ingredients), rub, and rinse 2–3 times while changing the water. Drain. Pat the fried tofu with paper towels to remove excess oil and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Place taro, fried tofu, and seasonings (☆) in a pot. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then cover and simmer over low heat for 8–10 minutes. Remove the lid and simmer over medium heat for another 2–3 minutes to reduce the liquid.
Serve on a plate and sprinkle with chopped green onion.
