- 2 taro roots (200g)
- 🦐 4 shrimp with shells
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp ground black sesame
PASSI
Peel the taro roots and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with salt (not listed in ingredients) and rub to remove the sliminess. Rinse with water and pat dry. Place in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 3–4 minutes. Use a paper towel to remove any remaining sliminess.
Wash the shrimp and remove the veins. Place in a microwave-safe container, add sake, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute 30 seconds. Drain the liquid, remove the shells, and cut each shrimp into two pieces.
In a bowl, mix the sugar, soy sauce, and ground black sesame. Add the taro and shrimp, and toss to coat evenly.
