INGREDIENTI
Protein
- 2 slices of ham
- 🧈 250g firm tofu
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🌾 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 💧 50ml water
- 🍞 Breadcrumbs as needed
Seasoning
- 🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
- Tonkatsu sauce as needed
Cooking Oil
- Vegetable oil as needed
PASSI
Cut the ham into quarters. Wrap the tofu in a paper towel, place it on a microwave-safe plate, and heat at 600W for 2 minutes to remove excess water.
Cut the tofu into quarters and make a pocket-like incision in each piece. Sprinkle salt and pepper around the tofu.
Fold each ham slice in half and insert two pieces into each tofu pocket.
In a bowl, mix the beaten egg, flour, and water thoroughly. Dip the tofu-ham pieces into the batter, then coat them with breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 170°C. Fry the tofu-ham pieces until golden brown on all sides. Drain excess oil and serve with tonkatsu sauce.
