Beef
- 🥩 200g beef sirloin steak
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Vegetables
- Baby leaf, as needed
- White sesame seeds, as needed
Onion Marinade
- 🧅 100g onion, thinly sliced
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp olive oil
Sushi Rice
- 🍚 1 cup cooked rice
- 🍬 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vinegar
Wasabi Soy Sauce
- Soy sauce, as needed
- Wasabi, as needed

Tenderize the beef with the back of a knife and season with salt and pepper.
Slice garlic thinly and remove the core. Thinly slice the onion.
Mix sugar, salt, vinegar, and olive oil in a bowl to prepare the onion marinade.
Add sliced onion to the marinade, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Mix sugar, salt, and vinegar in another bowl to prepare sushi vinegar.
Pour sushi vinegar over cooked rice and mix gently to prepare sushi rice.
Heat salad oil and garlic in a pan over low heat until garlic is golden and crispy. Remove garlic.
In the same pan, sear the beef over high heat until browned on both sides. Wrap in foil and let rest. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
Plate sushi rice, sprinkle sesame seeds, and top with onion marinade, baby leaf, beef slices, and garlic. Serve with wasabi soy sauce.
