Main Ingredients
- 🐙 50g boiled octopus, diced
- 🧀 40g shredded pizza cheese
- 🧅 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 10g pickled red ginger, chopped
- 2 tbsp tempura flakes
- 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
Batter
- 50g takoyaki flour
- 🥚 1 egg
- 💧 150ml water
Toppings
- 1 tbsp takoyaki sauce
- 2g bonito flakes
- A pinch of aonori (seaweed flakes)

Dice the boiled octopus into 8mm cubes.
Finely chop the pickled red ginger.
In a bowl, mix the takoyaki flour, egg, and water. Add chopped green onion, red ginger, and tempura flakes to create the batter.
Heat a tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) pan over medium heat with vegetable oil. Pour in the batter and let the edges set slightly. Sprinkle diced octopus and shredded cheese on top, then fold the batter in half quickly.
Cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping occasionally, until the batter is fully cooked. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
Plate the pieces, brush with takoyaki sauce, and sprinkle bonito flakes and aonori on top.
