- 🍗 1 piece (260g) chicken thigh
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Sauce
- 🧈 15g salted butter
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce

Flatten the chicken to an even thickness and cut in half. Season with salt and pepper.
Slice the garlic thinly.
Heat olive oil and garlic in a pan over low heat until garlic turns golden and crispy. Remove garlic from the pan.
Place chicken skin-side down in the same pan. Press down with a spatula and cook on low heat for 6 minutes until golden brown. Flip and remove excess oil with a paper towel. Cook for another 5 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Add sauce ingredients (butter, sake, sugar, soy sauce) to the pan and heat on low, stirring until thickened. Pour sauce over the chicken and garnish with crispy garlic.
