Vegetables
- 100g lotus root, sliced into sticks
- 125g konjac, torn into pieces
Oil and Spices
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Pinch of sliced chili
- 1 tsp white sesame seeds
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce

Slice lotus root into 7mm sticks and soak in water to remove starch. Drain well.
Tear konjac into bite-sized pieces using a spoon.
Boil konjac in water for 3 minutes to remove its odor. Drain well.
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Stir-fry lotus root and konjac until lotus root becomes translucent.
Add sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, and chili. Stir-fry until the liquid is reduced. Sprinkle white sesame seeds and stir briefly.
