- 🍝 200g spaghetti
Meat
- 🥓 4 slices bacon
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, sliced
- 🌱 3 asparagus spears (60g), trimmed and sliced
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, sliced

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 🍋 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 3 tbsp pasta cooking water
Garnish
- Pinch of black pepper for garnish

Trim the bottom 5cm of the asparagus and peel with a peeler. Slice diagonally. Slice the onion thinly and remove the core of the garlic before slicing it thinly.
Cut the bacon into 1cm wide strips.
Boil water in a pot, add salt (not listed in ingredients) and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Reserve 3 tbsp of the cooking water.
Heat olive oil and garlic in a frying pan over low heat. Once fragrant, add onion and bacon. Cook over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent. Add asparagus and cook until tender.
Add the cooked spaghetti, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and reserved pasta water to the pan. Stir well to combine.
Serve on a plate and sprinkle with black pepper as garnish.
