- 🥖 1 baguette
Cheese / Dairy
- 🧀 4 sticks of string cheese

- Seaweed flakes, as needed
Mentaiko Mayonnaise
- 50g mentaiko
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 🧀 1 tbsp grated cheese
- 🧄 1/4 tsp grated garlic

Cut open the mentaiko and extract the roe.
Mix the mentaiko, mayonnaise, grated cheese, and garlic in a bowl to create mentaiko mayonnaise.
Cut the baguette into two halves, then make deep cuts lengthwise and crosswise, about 2/3 deep.
Insert 2 sticks of string cheese into the cuts and spread half of the mentaiko mayonnaise on top. Repeat for the second baguette half.
Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil. Bake in a toaster oven for 4–5 minutes until golden brown, then cover with foil and bake for another 3 minutes.
Top with seaweed flakes before serving.
