Bread
- 🍞 2 slices sandwich bread
Toppings
- White sesame seeds, as needed
- Salad oil, as needed
- Sweet chili sauce, as needed
- 🌿 Cilantro, as needed
Shrimp Paste
- 🦐 100g peeled shrimp
- 🧅 25g minced onion
- 1/2 tsp sake
- Pepper, a pinch
- 1/2 tsp fish sauce
- Grated ginger, a pinch
- 1/2 tsp potato starch

Remove the vein from the shrimp and pat dry. Chop the shrimp until sticky.
Cut the bread into quarters and finely mince the onion.
Mix the chopped shrimp, minced onion, and all shrimp paste ingredients in a bowl.
Spread the shrimp paste onto the bread pieces and coat with white sesame seeds.
Heat 5mm of salad oil in a frying pan. Place the bread shrimp-side down and pan-fry on medium heat until crispy and golden. Flip and repeat for the other side. Serve with sweet chili sauce if desired.
