Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets (350g) mackerel
Vegetables
- 🌱 3 green beans
- 🧅 1 stalk green part of spring onion
- 20g pickled ginger
Oil
- Adequate amount of salad oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp potato starch

Place green beans on a microwave-safe plate, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 30 seconds. Let cool and slice into small pieces. Chop spring onion and pickled ginger finely.
Remove the skin and bones from the mackerel and chop roughly.
In a bowl, mix the mackerel, prepared vegetables, and seasonings. Divide into 6 portions and shape into flat rounds.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 180°C (about 3cm depth). Fry the mackerel patties for about 3 minutes until cooked through.
