Main Ingredients
- 200g ground chicken
- 1/3 daikon radish (400g)
- 5cm green onion (15g)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Chicken Meatball Mixture
- 🥚 1 egg
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp potato starch
Simmering Sauce
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp dashi powder
- 300ml water
Garnish
- Shredded green onion, as needed

Peel the daikon radish, cut it into quarters lengthwise, and chop into bite-sized pieces. Mince the green onion.
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, minced green onion, and the chicken meatball mixture ingredients until sticky.
Heat the simmering sauce ingredients in a frying pan. Once boiling, scoop the chicken mixture into bite-sized balls using a spoon and add them to the pan. Simmer on low heat for 2 minutes, flip, and simmer for another 2 minutes while skimming off any foam.
Push the meatballs to one side of the pan and add the daikon radish. Bring to a boil again, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the daikon is tender. Drizzle sesame oil over the dish before serving.
Plate the dish and garnish with shredded green onion.
