- 150g ground meat (beef and pork mix)
- 🧅 1/4 onion, thinly sliced (50g)
- 🧂 a pinch of salt
- a dash of pepper
- 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
Garlic Soy Sauce
- 🧄 1/4 tsp grated garlic
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 🧂 2/3 tbsp soy sauce

Thinly slice the onion.
Place the ground meat in a tray, season with salt and pepper, and press to remove air while shaping.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the meat and cook for about 3 minutes until browned. Flip, cover with a lid, reduce to medium-low heat, and steam for 5 minutes until cooked through. Remove and plate.
In the same pan, add the onion and sauté over medium heat until softened. Add the garlic soy sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer on low heat for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened. Pour over the hamburger steak.
