Slice ginger into thin strips and chop green onions. Separate sardine meat from the can juice.
In a rice cooker, combine soaked rice, sardine can juice, and all seasonings. Add water up to the 2-cup mark and mix well. Flatten the rice surface.
Place sardine meat and ginger slices on top of the rice. Cook using the regular rice cooking setting.
Once cooked, add white sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Mix everything together before serving.
