INGREDIENTS
Marinade
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- π§ 1 tablespoon water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons light soy sauce
- π¬ 1 Β½ teaspoons white sugar
- π§ 1/2 teaspoon salt
Main Ingredients
- π 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, sliced
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- π§ 1 onion, finely sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
Sauce
- π§ 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
- π¬ 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 3 tablespoons black bean sauce with garlic
Thickening Mixture
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- π§ 1 tablespoon water

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- π§ 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
STEPS
To make the marinade: Mix cornstarch with water in a bowl; stir in soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Add chicken, toss to combine, and marinate for 20 minutes.
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add bean sprouts, cook for 30 seconds to blanch, drain, and set aside.
Combine water, oyster sauce, and sugar in a small bowl, and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Add garlic, black bean sauce, and stir-fry until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add onion and stir-fry until soft (about 3-4 minutes).
Add chicken and marinade mixture, stir-fry until chicken is cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Add oyster sauce mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
Add bell pepper, cover, and cook until softened (about 1-2 minutes).
Dissolve cornstarch in water, stir into the skillet along with bean sprouts. Cook until the sauce is thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
