INGREDIENTS
Butter and Seasoning
- 🧈 1 cup softened butter
- 🧄 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 🧂 Sea salt to taste
- Cracked black pepper to taste
Meat
- 🍖 1 (4 pound) bone-in rib-eye roast
STEPS
Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).
Beat butter and garlic together in a bowl.
Poke several holes in the rib eye with a sharp knife. Rub butter mixture all over the meat and season with salt and pepper. Place the rib eye fat-side up in a roasting pan.
Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes at 500°F (260°C).
Reduce the heat to 325°F (165°C) and continue cooking until the rib eye is reddish-pink and juicy in the center, an additional 1.5 to 2 hours. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium.
Serve and enjoy!
