- 8 fukinoto (80g)
Seafood
- 🍤 10 peeled shrimp (100g)
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Flour
- As needed all-purpose flour
Oil
- As needed salad oil
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg white
- 🧀 2 tbsp grated cheese
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 2 tsp salad oil
ÉTAPES
Cut off the root of fukinoto, slice in half, and soak in water. Pat dry and coat with all-purpose flour.
Remove the vein from peeled shrimp, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, and coat with all-purpose flour.
Whisk egg white until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in grated cheese, all-purpose flour, and potato starch. Mix in salad oil.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C. Dip fukinoto into the batter and fry for about 1 minute until lightly golden. Repeat with shrimp, frying for about 1 minute until cooked through.
