In a pot, bring water and daikon radish to a boil. Simmer on medium heat for 4–5 minutes. Add the mackerel can, including its juices, and gently break apart the fish while stirring.

Once the edges of the pot start bubbling, add soy sauce, grated ginger, and green onion. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
