Heat salad oil in a pot and add the ground chicken. Stir-fry until the chicken changes color.

Add the onion and potatoes to the pot, stirring to coat them in the oil. Then add sake, water, mirin, sugar, and dashi powder. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 7–8 minutes.

Dissolve the miso into the pot, cover again, and simmer for another 5–6 minutes until the liquid reduces. Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
