INGREDIENTS
Dry ingredients
- 🧂 3 cups white sugar
- 2 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
- 🧂 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 🧂 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Wet ingredients
- 🎃 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin purée
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 🥚 4 eggs
- 💧 ⅔ cup water, room temperature
Optional mix-ins
- ½ cup pecans, roughly chopped
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour two 8x4-inch loaf pans.
Whisk sugar, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice together in a bowl. Add pumpkin purée, vegetable oil, eggs, and water; mix well. Fold in pecans.
Divide mixture evenly between the 2 prepared loaf pans.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the centers comes out clean, about 1 hour.
Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
