INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups white sugar
- ¼ cup poppy seeds
Wet Ingredients
- 🥚 4 eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 13 fluid ounces evaporated milk
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add eggs, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, and evaporated milk. Mix well.
Fold in the poppy seeds and pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
