    • 🐟 2 cleaned sanma (220g)
  • Vegetables

    • 2 pieces ginger, julienned
    • 🧅 2 tbsp chopped green onion

    • 1 tbsp salad oil
  • Liquid

    • 💧 Water as needed
  • Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp Japanese dashi powder

Cut the sanma in half.

Julienne the ginger.

Heat salad oil in a pan and sear the sanma on both sides over medium heat until browned.

Place soaked rice, seasoning ingredients, and water up to the 2-cup line in the rice cooker. Mix well and flatten the rice. Spread the ginger on top and place the seared sanma over it. Cook as usual.

Once cooked, remove the sanma, separate the bones from the flesh, and return the flesh to the rice cooker. Mix gently to flake the fish into the rice.

Serve the rice in bowls and garnish with chopped green onion.
