INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- 8 shiso leaves
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
ÉTAPES
Trim the stems off the shiso leaves.
Cut the chicken thigh into 8 equal pieces.
In a bowl, mix the seasoning ingredients (sake, soy sauce, ginger, garlic) and massage into the chicken pieces. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Add potato starch and all-purpose flour to the marinated chicken and mix well.
Place a piece of chicken on a shiso leaf, fold the leaf in half, and press to adhere.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Fry the chicken pieces for 4–5 minutes over medium heat until cooked through.
