Main Ingredients
- 🍠 1 medium sweet potato (180g)
- 🍤 120g peeled shrimp
- 4 shiso leaves
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
- 🧂 Salt to taste
Batter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 💧 3 tbsp cold water
ШАГИ
Cut the sweet potato into 1cm cubes with the skin on and soak in water for 10 minutes. Drain well. Tear the shiso leaves into bite-sized pieces.
Remove the shrimp's vein, cut into bite-sized pieces, rinse lightly, and pat dry.
Place the sweet potato, shrimp, and shiso leaves into a plastic bag. Add 2 tbsp of flour, seal the bag, and shake to coat evenly.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (3 tbsp flour and 3 tbsp cold water). Add the coated ingredients and mix gently.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C. Using a spatula, scoop the mixture and gently slide it into the oil. Fry for 3–5 minutes until crispy. Serve with salt on the side.
