INGREDIENTS
Wet Ingredients
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 🍯 ½ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 🍌 1 cup mashed bananas
- 💧 ¼ cup hot water
Dry Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups whole wheat flour
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 🌰 ½ cup chopped walnuts
STEPS
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix oil and honey together. Add eggs, bananas, and vanilla; combine well.
Gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water, then mix into the batter.
Fold in chopped walnuts.
Spread batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool the bread on a wire rack for 30 minutes before slicing.
