- 🥓 4 slices bacon
Vegetables
- 4 cm daikon (120g)
Dairy
- 🧀 2 slices melting cheese
Oils & Fats
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
- 🧈 10g salted butter
Seasonings
- 1/2 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
Herbs
- 🌿 A pinch of chopped parsley
ШАГИ
Slice the daikon into 5mm thick rounds and score a crosshatch pattern on one side. Cut the cheese into quarters.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the daikon slices, cover, and cook on low heat for 3 minutes until browned. Stack 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of bacon, another slice of cheese, and another daikon slice (browned side up) to form a sandwich. Repeat to make 4 sandwiches. Cover and steam for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts. Plate the sandwiches.
In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add sake and soy sauce, stirring to combine into a butter-soy sauce.
Pour the butter-soy sauce over the daikon sandwiches and garnish with chopped parsley.
