Main Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 🧅 1/8 onion, sliced
- 🥕 20g carrot, julienned
- 1 green chili, sliced
- 🧅 1/2 stalk green onion, sliced
Seasoning
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- Pinch of black pepper
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1.5 tbsp red chili flakes
- Pinch of sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame oil

Slice green onion into rounds, reserving half for garnish, and finely chop the rest.
Mix soy sauce, sugar, red chili flakes, cooking wine, corn syrup, sesame seeds, black pepper, and minced garlic in a bowl. Add chopped green onion and let the chili flakes soak.
Slice onion thinly and add to the sauce. Avoid overly thick slices for better presentation.
Add sliced green onion and julienned carrot to the sauce. Use minimal carrot for color balance.
Cut tofu into thick slices (1–1.5 cm) and pan-fry in 3–4 tbsp oil over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu in the pan.
Add 1 cup of water to the pan, ensuring the tofu and vegetables are partially submerged.
Simmer on high heat until the water reduces and the sauce thickens.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and garnish with sliced green chili before serving.
