Fish
- 🐟 1 fillet (140g) mackerel
Oil
- 500g salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 🌱 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp curry powder
- Pinch of pepper
Batter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tsp curry powder
BƯỚC
Pat dry the mackerel with kitchen paper. Cut it into 6 diagonal slices.
Mix the seasoning ingredients (sake, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, curry powder, pepper) in a bowl and marinate the mackerel for 10 minutes.
Mix the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, curry powder) in a separate bowl. Coat the mackerel slices with the batter.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C (about 2cm deep). Fry the mackerel slices for about 2 minutes until cooked through and crispy.
