Cut the cheese slices in half.
Place two slices of pork belly slightly overlapping vertically, season with salt and pepper, add one shiso leaf and half a slice of cheese at the bottom, then roll tightly. Repeat to make 6 rolls and coat them with cornstarch.
Lightly grease a hot sandwich maker with salad oil using a paper towel. Place the rolls seam-side down, close the sandwich maker, and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the rolls are cooked through and golden brown.
