- 5 chikuwa sticks
- 1 mentaiko roe
- 🧀 30g pizza cheese
- Enough salad oil for frying
Tempura Batter
- 50g all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 💧 75cc water
- 1 tsp dried green seaweed
BƯỚC
Cut the chikuwa sticks in half horizontally.
Make a slit in the mentaiko roe and scoop out the contents.
Mix the mentaiko and pizza cheese in a bowl. Transfer the mixture to a plastic bag and cut the tip for piping.
Pipe the mentaiko-cheese mixture evenly into the chikuwa holes.
In a separate bowl, mix the tempura batter ingredients (flour, mayonnaise, water, and aonori).
Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 180°C, about 2cm deep. Dip the stuffed chikuwa into the tempura batter and fry.
Fry until golden brown, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
