- 1 tbsp salad oil

- ketchup as needed
Egg Mixture
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 🧀 1 tbsp grated cheese
- 🧂 salt and pepper to taste

Cut the onion into 1.5 cm thick rings and secure the center with toothpicks.
Lightly coat the onion rings with all-purpose flour.
Mix the egg, grated cheese, and salt and pepper in a bowl to prepare the egg mixture. Dip the onion rings into the mixture.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the onion rings in the pan and cook until golden brown. Pour the remaining egg mixture evenly over the onions and flip them. Cover with a lid and steam-fry over low heat for about 5 minutes until the onions are tender.
Remove the lid and cook over medium heat until crispy. Remove the toothpicks, plate the onions, and serve with ketchup.
