Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets mackerel (280g)
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 💧 1 tbsp water
- 🌾 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
Coating
- 🍞 Enough breadcrumbs for coating
Cooking Oil
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Condiment
- Medium-thick sauce to taste

Pat the mackerel fillets dry with paper towels and cut into 4 pieces. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, mix the egg and water, then add the flour and mix to create the batter.
Dip the mackerel pieces into the batter and coat them with breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan to 170°C (about 1cm deep). Fry the mackerel for about 2 minutes on one side, then flip and fry for another 2 minutes until cooked through.
Serve on a plate and accompany with medium-thick sauce.
