Cut the corn into thirds lengthwise, then quarter each piece vertically. Slice the garlic in half, remove the core, and crush it with the flat side of a knife.
Remove the vein from the shrimp, rinse under water, and pat dry.
In a pot, heat olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili over low heat until fragrant. Add the corn and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and simmer for an additional 2 minutes until cooked through.
