- 300g daikon, cut into sticks
Flour
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Seasoning
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp doubanjiang

Cut the daikon into 5mm thick sticks.

Mix the seasoning ingredients (☆) in a plastic bag and add the daikon. Massage and let it marinate for 10 minutes. Add all-purpose flour and mix.

Coat the daikon sticks evenly with potato starch.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C (2cm depth). Fry the daikon sticks for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
