Cut the avocado in half lengthwise, remove the pit and skin, and dice into bite-sized pieces. Slice the garlic in half lengthwise, remove the core, and crush with the flat side of a knife.
Remove the vein from the peeled shrimp, rinse with water, and pat dry.
In a pot, heat olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili over low heat until fragrant. Add the shrimp and avocado, then cook over medium heat until the shrimp changes color.
