Chicken
- 🍗 400g chicken breast or thigh
Vegetables
- 🥬 1/3 head lettuce
- 🧅 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- A small amount of red bell pepper, diced
- A small amount of yellow bell pepper, diced
- 2 green chilies, thinly sliced
Breading
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 🍞 2 cups breadcrumbs
Marinade
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of black pepper
Sauce
- 🧂 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍋 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp vinegar
- 🧂 4 tbsp sugar
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
चरण
Clean the chicken breast or thigh and pat dry.
Marinate the chicken with mirin, a pinch of salt, and black pepper.
Slice the onion thinly and soak in water with 1 tbsp salt for 5 minutes.
Beat 2 eggs in a bowl and coat the marinated chicken in the egg mixture.
Prepare a plastic bag with 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Add the chicken, then top with another cup of breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs firmly onto the chicken.
Heat oil in a pot to 160°C (320°F) and deep-fry the chicken until golden brown.
Drain the fried chicken on a wire rack to remove excess oil.
Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, and diced red and yellow bell peppers. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Arrange lettuce on a serving plate, top with the soaked onion slices, and place the sliced fried chicken on top.
Drizzle the prepared sauce over the chicken just before serving.
