    • 2 tbsp apple vinegar

    • 2 tbsp honey
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Rinse the lotus root and slice it into 1.5mm thick pieces. Slice garlic into thin flat pieces.

Add the sliced lotus root to a pan and stir-fry on medium heat until moisture evaporates.

Add 1 tbsp sugar, 5 tbsp soy sauce, and 200ml water. Simmer on medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Once reduced, add 1/2 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp honey, and thinly sliced green chilies. Mix well and simmer on low heat for the second reduction.

Turn off the heat and sprinkle sesame oil and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
