- 300g pork jowl
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- A small handful of chives
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
Garnish
- Sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds
- Drizzle of sesame oil
手順
Mix soy sauce, mirin, corn syrup, water, and oyster sauce to create the marinade.
Thinly slice the onion and soak in cold water to remove its sharpness.
Cut chives into 5cm lengths.
Heat a pan and sear the pork jowl until golden brown.
Add the marinade to the pan and simmer until the pork is fully coated and the sauce thickens.
Plate the pork jowl and serve with the onion and chives on the side.
Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
