- 🥬 300g shredded cabbage
- 🧅 1/3 bunch chopped green onion
- 10g chopped red ginger
Egg
- 🥚 2 eggs
Seasoning
- 10g tempura flakes
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Batter

- 200ml water
- 1/3 tsp dashi powder
- 🌾 100g all-purpose flour
Toppings
- 4 tbsp okonomiyaki sauce
- 8g bonito flakes
- 3g aonori (seaweed flakes)
PASSOS
Shred the cabbage, chop the green onion, and roughly chop the red ginger. Grate the yam.
Cut the pork belly slices into thirds.
In a bowl, mix all batter ingredients except flour. Gradually sift in the flour and whisk until smooth. Add eggs, cabbage, green onion, tempura flakes, and red ginger, then mix gently.
Heat a hot plate or frying pan to medium heat. Spread salad oil evenly using a paper towel. Divide the batter into two portions and shape into circles. Place pork slices on top. Cook for 5 minutes until the edges dry and brown.
Flip the okonomiyaki, cover with a lid, and cook for 4 minutes until fully cooked. Remove the lid, flip again, and reduce heat to keep warm.
Brush with okonomiyaki sauce, sprinkle bonito flakes, and finish with aonori.
