- 100g rice cakes for tteokbokki
- 500g chicken thighs
- 🧀 100g pizza cheese
- 150g cabbage
- 🧅 100g onion, sliced
- 🥕 75g carrot, sliced
- 20g chives
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Universal Spicy Sweet Miso Sauce
- 3 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp mirin
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp red miso
- 1 tsp doubanjiang
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
PASSOS
Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Slice the onion into 5mm widths. Halve the carrot lengthwise, slice thinly, and cut into 1.5cm strips. Cut the chives into 3cm lengths.
Trim excess fat from the chicken thighs and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Add the chicken and rice cakes, and let marinate for 10 minutes.
Spread salad oil evenly on a hot plate. Arrange the cabbage, onion, and carrot, then place the marinated chicken and rice cakes with the sauce on top. Cover and steam-cook at medium heat for 10–12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Switch to warm mode, add the chives, and mix everything. Clear the center of the hot plate, add the pizza cheese, and cover until the cheese melts.
