INGREDIENTES

  • Pork

    • 🐖 6 slices thinly sliced pork belly
  • Seafood

    • 1 piece hanpen (100g)
  • Cheese / Dairy

    • 🧀 2 slices cheese
  • Seasoning

    • 🧂 A pinch of salt and pepper
    • Potato starch as needed
    • 1 tbsp cooking sake
    • 2 tsp salad oil
  • Sauce

    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🧂 2 tsp soy sauce
    • Shichimi togarashi as needed

PASSOS

1

Cut the hanpen into 6 equal pieces. Make a slit in each piece to halve its thickness. Cut the cheese slices into thirds and fold them to fit the size of the hanpen.

2

Insert the folded cheese into the slit of each hanpen piece.

3

Lay the pork slices vertically, season with salt and pepper, and lightly coat with potato starch. Place a hanpen piece on each slice and roll it up from the edge (meat roll). Repeat for all 6 pieces.

4

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the meat rolls seam-side down and cook until browned. Rotate to brown all sides. Dab off excess oil with a paper towel, add cooking sake, cover, and steam over low heat for about 3 minutes.

5

Add the sauce ingredients (mirin, soy sauce, shichimi togarashi) to the pan and cook until the sauce thickens, coating the rolls evenly.
